Lumbini Tour

The holiest of the holiest and the highest regarded pilgrimage of Buddhist religion is the place of Lumbini. Lumbini is the birthplace of Buddha; a wise man that the world knows as Siddhartha Gautam, Gautam Buddha, Shakyamuni or simply Buddha, is also the wise men with whose findings and teachings Buddhism was found. Buddha in fact means the one who is enlightened.

Lumbini is located in the hot and humid flat land called Terai, in the western Nepal. It is calm, serene and the air is filled with the fragrance of incense burning and the chanting of the mantras. Lumbini takes you back to over thousand years, the sparse temples spread out in a large area and the monks in robes walking around and carrying their daily chores is fascinating. You will be moved by how monks aged from 6 to over 65 walk on the path found by Buddha. Less than 2 km away from the exact birth spot of Buddha you can also see the modern day shrines built by different nations, reflecting their own architectural heritage.

Every single stupa, monastery or infrastructure build in this region reflects Buddhism and adaptation in their country of origin. There are no words to let you know the feeling of being in Lumbini and it is highly recommended to be here. You will find the inner peace, enlightened to some extent and above all enjoy the tour.
