Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake is the trek to one of the highest oligotrophic lakes namely Tilicho. Tilicho sits at an elevation of 4919 meters and in the Annapurna range of Himalayas. This lake is formed by the glacial deposits of neighbouring mountains Tilicho, Khangsar, Muktinath and Nilgiri. If camped overnight, one can often hear the thunderous noise caused by the tearing and submerging glaciers.
Way to Tilicho is demanding and was not accessible by trekkers because of hazardous trails and dramatic weather and maintains a tag of off the beaten trekking in Nepal. Even till the day very less take the trails to Tilicho lake as it requires 3 additional days of effort. The effort nevertheless is forgotten by the dramatic spectacle of the Lake on top. The lake sits in pristine environment and is so left alone that camping is the only way to spend a night in the shore.
